Itchy Pig Presents... Vol 36 - Black Alley
July 30, 2014 07:53 AM PDT

Thomas Pudell aka Black Alley is a name that shouldn't really need an introduction. Having run soundsystems throughout Europe since time even started, plus the industry-viewed In Control radio show, there is hardly a pair of ears in this wonderful culture that hasn't been blessed by his sets.

Having recently put out his 'Always Something' track out through our label (with remixes from James Johnston, Club Squisito and our founder Beard Shaper), it would have been rude, sacrilege even for him to not be next in line for our loved Pigcast series.

As always, speakers up.

Itchy Pig Presents... Vol 35 - Greg Wilson

Greg Wilson is definitely something of an institution. A name that has not only fluttered throughout the since for some time, but a person who you can safely say has been a key contributor to the scene for many years.

Since his career began circa 1975, he has claimed many notches on his belt from being the first DJ to mix on UK TV, playing gigs such as Electric Chair and Fabric, right through to being the selector for compilations such as the much loved reminiscent release 'Electro Mastercuts' LP.

We could go on and on, but when it boils down to it, if you know the name, you love the music. So we are honoured that he has supplied a mix for our beloved Pigcast series which he recorded live at Manchester's iconic Victoria Baths a short while back.

So speakers up and feet ready.

Enjoy x

The next to step into the Pigcast spotlight and represent are a Northern duo going by the name Cubik. These lads have a massive future ahead of them, so if this is the first time you've come across them, we can guarantee it won't be the last.

Undoubtedly talented and incredibly hard working, Cubik's unique sense of rhythm and groove result in sets whose numerous twists and turns will delight and enthrall even the most apathetic of listeners. The future is packed with a variety of releases and gigs for this duo, something that will seem blindingly obvious once you have a listen to the treats they have in store for you here.

Watch out for these fellas; they’ll be everywhere before you know it. And rightly so.
